recent research in Washington America has claimed that youth in the 21st century have seen reluctance to have sex. This research has claimed that the main reason is gaming, social media and mobile internet. This research, released on Friday, says that since 2000, trends in sex among American youth have decreased by one third.

Sexual inactivity is also increasing, according to
this research published in the journal JAMA Network Open, that one in three American youth aged 18 to 24 has refused to have any type of sex in the last year from 2000 to 2018. It was also revealed during the survey that there is a decrease in sexual activity or sexual inactivity among men and women aged 25 to 34 years.

Social media, Internet and mobile games became the reason
Jean Twenge, head of the psychology department at San Diego State University, said that youth have more work to do at night than before. In which they are giving priority to social media, internet and gaming, excluding sex.

Researchers made this claim
After analyzing the survey data of about 10,000 unmarried men and women between the ages of 18 and 44 between 2000 and 2018, the researchers found that between 2016-2018 there was a 16.5 per cent decrease in sex. Whereas in 2000-2002 this decrease was 9.5 per cent.

More visible impact among the unemployed
Research also revealed that unemployed or low income men and women saw more inactivity about sex than students studying in schools and colleges. Research also says that due to corona virus infection, reluctance in sex can increase in people.
